Emergency Services Journey

The ‘Emergency Services Journey’, based at the Maryborough Education Centre, educates students about emergency services as part of the Year 9 Journey Program.

Through the program, students investigate, research, collaborate and discuss various aspects of emergency service agencies and how they support our communities. Students also explore how volunteerism helps build a stronger community.

Around 40 students take part in the program each year, helping them to educate their families and friends about Fire Safety and Emergency Services; gaining teambuilding and leadership skills and even receiving e-lifesaving and Basic First Aid Certificates.

Emergency Services  Journey was a standout application and there were no other finalists.
