The Government and Industry Diversity Award recognises a fire project that supports the fire safety and awareness needs for diverse communities. Projects applying to this category should aim to improve fire safety, fire awareness and access and inclusion by actively seeking greater diversity in participation.
Examples of projects include but are not restricted to:
– Campaigns specifically targeting gender equity
– Training/programs aimed at building capability to work in cross cultural settings
– Engagement activities that seek to involve vulnerable, disadvantaged, at-risk or isolated communities
This award is only open to Government and Industry:
Government and Industry – this stream includes commercial enterprise, business, fire services and state or local government.^
^DELWP, CFA, MFB, EMV and PV employees and members are eligible to enter this category.
